＃2です。 ＞ところで、to distinctionのところはどう読み解けばよいのでしょうか？ 差別化のための力、卓越性へ至る力、でしょう。通常、power to の後は動詞で、～する力（能力）という意味です。この例では distinction は名詞ですが、動詞に準じた解釈でよいと思われます。 前文の意味は... 過去数年で、モノの偏重が日常生活に強要していた画一性に対する“個の反逆”が進んだと言えるかもしれない。
