One thing I remember most vividly is, a couple of people got on at the end of the line, the bus was mostly empty. After a minute they say, "You know, there's a whole lot of blood back here." 英語のサパー？とディナーだとどちらの方が豪華な夕飯になるんですか？ 両方とも日本語訳は晩餐と出てきて、両方とも高級そうです。 あと質素な夕飯は英語でなんと言うんですか？ まずはサパーとディナーはどちらが豪華な夕飯なのか違いを教えてください。 初めてですよ。サパーですかディナーですかって聞かれたの。 「 SupperではなくDinnerですね？　 それならここがお勧めてす。 」

カタカナで書くと似ていますが実際は発音は大きく異なるのでしょうか？

こんにちは。日本語を勉強しているアメリカ人です。 語彙の勉強で証（しょう）を調べたところで、辞書に証（あかし）もあって使い分けがまったくわかりません。 辞書によると定義は下記のとおりです。 証（しょう） 証拠。「もって後日の証とす」 証（あかし） ある事柄が確かであるよりどころを明らかにすること。証明。証拠。「身の証を立てる」 意味がほぼ同じみたいですけど、例えば 「重要な仕事を任されるということは、それだけ信頼されている証である。」 上記の文章の「証」はどちらも使えますか。使えないなら、その理由を教えていただけると幸いです。 よろしくお願いします。

日本語を勉強中の中国人です。日本人上司に「Aさんはご存知ですか」と聞いたら、「はい、ご存知です、存じます」とにこにこして言われました。何だか冗談を言っている雰囲気でした。「Aさんはご存知ですか」の答えは何でしょうか。何だか「ご存知です、存じます」ではないような気がします。上司に対して、変な敬語を使いましたか。 また、質問文に不自然な日本語の表現がありましたら、それも教えていただければ幸いです。よろしくお願いいたします。

そもそも日本語に5W1Hが美しいかと言うとそんな事は無い。読み易いか訳し易いかと言うだけのことです。 日本語のあるべき姿は5W1Hに縮尺できたとして、全貌は語られないと考えます。 だから、誤字は少なくしたいし、乱文もできるだけ丁寧に語りたい。拘束されない美しい文章に出会える日が来ると信じて…。 日本語にも独特の英語や外国語にも美しさや面白みがあります。 自慢話しや有益な情報を得る為にはそれなりの時間と努力が必要です。いかにも下手な文にヒントがあり魅力的な内容がある事があります。確かに語学堪能な文章であれば、それなりに伝わるし、読み手の時間も少なくて済みます。点数に表せば、よい成績とは、良い学力によるものでしょう。 しかし、日本語や文学は正論ばかりでは語り尽くされ使い古されるでしょう。魅力なんて、数日後には忘れ去られます。 面白味ある内容を含むのに5W1Hという如何にも大層にもいや基本にも思える事は必要でしょうか？ 勿論、基本となる表現ですし、、。しかし、固定観念なんて優等生発言だし、出来高制みたいな話し、いくら語ったって、出来上がりありき。無い話しをしろというのはむりですが、表現とは自由度がなければいけませんよね。勝手気ままでもいけませんが。 回答される場合、Q＆Aみたいには5W1Hなのだとして、もっと言えば、表現や…、相手に伝える・答えを返してもらうには何が必要不可欠でしょうか？ 回答よろしくお願いします。

人を紹介する台詞として、 「尊敬でき、人を慈しむ心を持った人です」 この「尊敬でき」というのは自分がその人を尊敬しているという意味ですか？それとも相手が人を尊敬できる人という意味ですか？ 一般的にどちらでしょうか
