繰り返しますが，so ～ that の so は本来「それほど」ですが， 今では「とても」に感じられます，特に肯定文の場合。 一方，too は「限度を超えている」なので， She is too old to be a singing idol. 「アイドル歌手になるには年をとりすぎている」 20代後半でも当てはまるでしょう。 でも，She is so old that she can't be a singing idol. とは言えません。

＞でも，She is so old that she can't be a singing idol. とは言えません。 すみません，言えないわけでなく， 年寄りなので，アイドル歌手になれない， のように意味が変わってきます。

ふつうは、 She was lucky enough to have ten grandchildren, She was so lucky that she had ten grandchildren. のように書きかえできますが、 He is old enough to drive. He is so old that he can drive. だと書きかえることができません。これだと、彼は年をとっていて、運転できるということになってしまいます。 このような書きかえはどうしてできないのでしょう？ 書き換えができないパターンはどういう共通点があるのでしょうか？

so ～ that と too ～ to それから、 enough to に not がつくと意味がとりにくくなりますが、可能性として、 1 not so ～ that 2 so ～ that ... not 3 not too ～ to 4 too ～ not to 5 not ～ enough to 6 ～ enough not to の６つはすべて文としてありえるのでしょうか？
