- ホームステイ予定の海外のご家庭とのメールのやり取りで、意味を解せない文があり、どう解釈すれば良いかお教えいただきたいです。
- メールで、「空港まで出迎えていただけるとの事でしたが、もし無理でしたら言って下さい。その場合はバスに乗って自分で家まで行きます。」と伝えたところ、返信で「As well you did not mention your chosen method of travel from the airport to our home.」と書かれていました。
- この返信の意味を解釈してほしいです。おそらく自分のメールが拙い英語だったせいで誤解されているのかもしれません。

No.1の者です。 I confirm that the information below is correct. 以下の情報が正しいことを確認しました。 As well you did not mention your chosen method of travel from the airport to our home. 同じく（また）、空港から家までの移動手段を知らせてくれなかったことも。 といった感じでしょうか？ なんだかハテナですね。 もしかしたらAs well に自分の知らない意味があったかと思い調べてみましたが、そんなこともなさそうです。 少なくとも、質問者さんが送った 「空港まで出迎えていただけるとの事でしたが、もし無理でしたら言って下さい。その場合はバスに乗って自分で家まで行きます。」 の意味は、誤解されている可能性がありそうです。 それと、ちょっとアドバイスですが… 海外の人も遠慮はしますが、あまり遠慮しすぎるのは良くないです。特に英語に自信がない場合、誤解を招くことが多々あるようで、「遠慮のつもりが怒らせてしまった」という話をよく聞きます。「出迎えに行く」と最初から言ってくださっていたなら、ご厚意にありがたく甘えて、きちんとお礼を言えば良いだけです。わざわざ「無理ならいいよ」なんて言うと、「来て欲しくないのか？」と捉えられる場合があるかもしれないので。 今回の場合は、「バスで来るのが決まってたんなら先に言っておいてよ」と思われている可能性もありますけど。

as well は辞書を見ると 「・・・もまた」 とあるので、「それに、あなたは空港からわが家までどういう交通手段でやって来るのかということも示しませんでしたね」 のように訳せるかと思います。 その文の前に何かの文があって、やはり 「・・・について知らせてくれなかった」 と述べていて、その次にその文がきて、「また、交通手段についても知らせてくれませんでしたね」 と重ねているのかな、と想像しました。

その前の文章、できれば全文を教えてもらえないですか？ 最初のAs well は、「おまけに」「同様に」等の意味に思えるのですが…。だとしたら、すぐに返信したそうが良さそうです…。
補足
この文章の前は「I confirm that the information below is correct.」となっています。 ステイ中の家賃などの情報について相互確認＋質問文の「空港までの出迎えについて」という２つを私がメールしたのですが、どうやら後者については誤解されている・・・？ような感じでしょうか。。
