という英文の
to chance you will　と　chanceの後ろにいきなり名詞が来るのがよく分かりません。
これはif節がcanceまでで、you willからは違う文章だということなんｄねしょうか？
それともifの後の文章がすべてif節で
Since living complexity embodies the very opposite of chance
がif節を受ける文章だということなんでしょうか？

(2)Another way in which we seem inclined to disbilieve Darwinism is that our brains are built
to deal with events on radically different timescales from those that characterize evolutionary change.

Another way in which we seem inclined to disbilieve Darwinism が主語だと考えているんですが
Another way in which we seem のseem のあとにいきなり、imclinedがくるのがよく分かりません。
those that characterize evolutionary change の文は、thoseが人々を表す、と考えて訳していいんでしょうか？

(3)We are equipped to appreciate processes that take seconds, minutes, years or, at most, decades to complete.
この英文は(2)の直後に来るのですが、
appreciate processes　という部分がよく分かりません。
appreciate　が動詞かと思ったんですが、 processesのほうが動詞のようで
ということは、appreciateは先行詞みたいな役割で、processesがその動詞役をしているのでしょうか？

(4)A third respect in which our brains seem inclined to resist Darwinism come from our great
success as creative designers.

これも(2)と同じ悩みなんですが、seem inclined　と来るのがよく分かりません。
A third respect in which our brains seem　が主語ということでしょうか？
元に戻すと、Our brains seem in a third respect.ということでしょうか？

【respect】：「way」の言い換えだと思われますが、ぴったりの日本語訳が思い浮かびません。一応「点」と訳していますが、別の訳が良いのかもしれません。例えば、「事実」とか「理由」のような・・・。

【seem inclined to ...】：（１）で説明した通りです。

【as creative designers】：「success」にかかる形容詞句
