英語のクイズなんですが。。。
こんなクイズが出題されました。どなたか、お解りになるかたいらっしゃいますか？ "What is more powerful than God, More evil than the Devil, The Rich want it, The Poor have it, If you eat it you die?" 訳すと、こんな感じになると思うのですが。。。 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 神様よりパワフルで、悪魔よりも邪悪で、お金持ちは欲しがってて、貧しい人はもってて、 食べたら死ぬものは何？ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ちなみに、殆どの子供は答えられて、ハーバード卒の人は苦戦するとのことです。 よろしくお願いします。

答えはＮｏｔｈｉｎｇだそうです。 NOTHING is more powerful than God. NOTHING is more evil than the Devil. The poor have NOTHING. The rich need NOTHING. If you eat NOTHING you will die. とのことでした。

こんにちは。 答えは“nothing" 神より偉大な者はいない。 悪魔より酷いものはいない。 金持ちは（何でも手に入るので）必要ない。 貧乏人には（お金？）ない。 食べなければ死ぬ。

英語のなぞなぞです。 It is greater than God, and it is more evil than devil. The poor have it, the rich need it. If you eat it, you will die. what is it? 以前に聞いたことがあるような気もするし、初めてのような気もする。 さっぱり答えがわかりません。知ってたら教えてください。。 アメリカの小学生ならみんな知ってる、でも大人はなかなか答えられないんだそうです。答えがわかったら、おしえてください。

「友達に追加してください」または「友達になってください」を英語で言うと？ 夏休みにNYにいき、「あなたはfacebookやっていますか？」を「Do you have facebook?」という奇妙な形（少なくとも私にとっては^^;）で表すことを知りました。では、「友達に追加してください」というのにも、そのような特別な言い回しがあるのでしょうか？ 今考えているのは、Do you have facebook?If you have it,に続く「私を友達に追加してください！」という文です。poor englishとバカにされたくないので、「if you have it」の部分も含めてrichなenglishでご回答いただけるとありがたいです!(^o^)笑

英語の文法の、The 比較級 ～～, the 比較級 ～～. の形の文の質問です。 現在、 1. The more money "that" the city allows into circulation, the greater the risk of inflation. という文において、ここに"that"を入れても構わない（もしくは、入れる必要がある）理由がわからず悩んでいます。 現在勉強に使っている文献によるとこのthatが入っていることは文法上問題ないとのことなのですが、その理由が今一つわかりません。 例えば 2. The more money you put in, the more return you get. 3. The more you eat, the more you get fat. という文は合っていますが、 4. The more money that you put in, the more return you get. 5. The more that you eat, the more you get fat. という、"that"を入れた文は合っている、ということなのでしょうか？ 1, 4, 5のいずれの場合においても、thatを入れるのは不自然な感じがしてしまいます。これはどのように考えればいいのでしょうか…？
