come and とcome to

Come and meet me. は Come and see me. とも言えて、「遊びにいらっしゃい」 という意味になります。 そもそも come や go という動詞の場合は、come and see someone とか go and see someone とかいう言い方が定番になっているみたいですが、come to meet me でも構わないとは思います。 あえて日本語にすれば come to meet me が 「わたしに会うために来る」 のような感じで、come and meet me が 「わたしに会いに来る」 という程度の違いかも。

Do you know if he can come tomorrow? Do you know if he will be able to come tomorrow? can をwill be able to に置きかえられますか。そして上の２つの文に意味の違いはありますか。 （if 節が名詞節なので will be able to も置くことができますよね。） 文法書でcan のほうの文を見て、if 節が名詞節だからwill be able to も可能だろうと考え始めたのですが、そもそも未来のことなのに、 ・will be able to ではなく、なぜcanを使うのか ・２つの文には意味的に違いはあるのか が気になってきました。よろしくお願いします。
