Pressure is inversely proportional to volume:ie the greater the volume,the lower the pressure.Conversely,the smaller the volume,the higher the pressure.
the greater the volumeはどういう文構造なんでしょうか？
名詞と名詞はつなげていいんでしょうか？

形容詞+名詞が普通ですよね？

「圧力は、量に逆に比例する。量が大きければ大きいほど，圧力は低い。反対に、量が少なければ少ないほど圧力は高くなる。」

the + 形容詞 A の比較級 the +　形容詞 B の比較級　ですから　A であればあるほど　B　である。
