そうですね、形容詞というか、 名詞＋名詞で前の名詞が形容詞っぽい働きとなります。 baseball game movie theater のように、名詞を並べます。 日本語では「～の～」と「の」が必要な場合とそうでない場合があり、 日本語と関係なく、英語としてはただ名詞＋名詞となります。 本当の形容詞を使う場合、～'s や of など、「の」が必要な場合、 それぞれの場合を英語・日本語で区別しておく必要があります。 ここでは直観的には「冬増加」みたいなものですが、 「冬の時期に増加すること」くらいの意味でしょう。 attribute A to B の受身は A is attributed to B です。 この関係で、過去分詞句による後置修飾となれば A (which is) attributed to B という英語ができあがります。 give the book to him をもとにして、 the book given to him とあれば「彼に与えらえた本」 とかかります。 とにかく、受身になれば目的語 A は消えるわけです。 ここでは plays に対して、 後ろから「彼が書いたとされる」劇 とかかっていくことになります。

先ほどの回答をすこし訂正します。 the winter increase in nocturnal activity は、increase in nocturnal activity がかたまり。夜行性活動の増加です。これにwinterがついて、冬の夜行性活動の増加。先ほど、夜行性活動における冬の増加などと書きましたが、間違いです。以上訂正いたします。

We had experienced first class Japanese hospitality and even had the wonderful opportunity to stay in a Ryokan in Atami. The visit to Head Office was very interesting －to listen to the history of Yamatake Company, to see the ink sticks being made and actually making and using the ink. To have the chance to see our colleagues and to learn from our parent company how it developed and achieved 100 years of trading. We were not great artists when it came to the etegami drawing - it seemed difficult - we would rather have eaten the oranges and apples than drawn them. We have since enjoyed doing it and have mastered the technique in our own ways! The sights we saw in Nara and Kyoto, especially the geisha girls, will remain etched in our memories for a long time. We marvelled at the temples and the relaxing feeling of serenity in the gardens surrounding them. Our final destination of Tokyo and the trip up the tower was fantastic, followed by the meal with Tokyo office and lasting memories of Kareoke. We thank all Yamatake staff for making us so welcome and ensuring that our trip to Japan was so special and memorable. We look forward to Yamatake UK going from strength to strength and also achieving many years of trading.

She was seen as a multi-lingual, talented Chinese actress. At the end of World War 2, however, she ran into trouble. She was nearly executed by the Chinese government for treason but she narrowly escaped and returned to Japan. In Japan, she continued her singing and acting career under a new name: Yoshiko Yamaguchi. Several years later, the celebrated actress got married to a famous person: the architect, Isamu Noguchi. The two lived happily in Kamakura, where he worked furiously and she built her acting career. She starred in films abroad as well as at home.
