「make fun of ～」は悪意で使いますか？
英辞郎で「make fun of 」を引くと 「～を物笑いの種にする」とありました。 He is soooooo cool. I often make fun of his lovely jokes. この文章からだとどのような和訳になりますか？ 前文で褒めているので嫌味にはなりませんか？

物笑いの種 と言う解釈もありますが、 笑いのネタ にすると言う様な意味もあります。 "jokes" に"lovely"を付けていたり、文脈からしても悪い意味では無いと思います。

かれは、ほんとーーーにクール。 私やよく彼のラブリーなジョークを笑いの種にしているよ。 クールだとは思っていないのか、 彼と親しい仲であることを強調したいのかは、 もうちょっと前後がないと良くわからない。

英文解釈を教えて下さい 解釈でわからないところがあります。 英語に詳しい方、どうかよろしくお願いします。 He is undaunted and he's back raising the bar and drinking beer, trying to make his mark. 大酒飲みの記録を持つ男が、家族の反対を押し切り バーで行われるビール飲み大会に出場するという場面での文です。 「彼はひるまず、… ビールを飲み、名を上げようとしている」 raise the bar というのは、英辞郎で調べると「達するべきレベルを上げる」とあります。 ですので、さらにビール飲みの記録を伸ばすという意味なのでしょうか？

I live in a Southern state, and our home is located in a community of houses that are built pretty close together. Our neighborhood is a mix of families and young professionals. My husband and I have a 15-year-old son and an 11-year-old daughter. Our newish neighbor is an attractive woman in her early 30s. I don’t know her very well, but she seems perfectly nice.
