教えてください！！
一ヶ月ほど会えなかった彼からメールがきました。 辞書を使って訳してはみたのですが、 どうやってもいい意味にとれませんでした。 ＞今月はすごく忙しくって月末まであえそうにないよ。 i know its been a while-i can barely remeber what you look like- i hope all is well with you- 待っていてもムダということでしょうか？

アメリカ人の友達のメールの終わりに"I wish you well"と書かれていましたが、よく意味がわかりません。 "I hope you are well" とはよく書かれているのですが。辞書で調べると、「幸運を祈る」とか「好意を示す」とあったりします。native に聞いたら、あんまり使わないけれど、相手が困っているときなどにかける言葉と言う回答もありました。 I wish you well と I hope you well は同じで形式的な挨拶なのでしょうか。それとも長いお別れの挨拶なのでしょうか。ニュアンスがわかりません。
