＞もともとのご質問である上記の内容は～～～「この問題の作成者が意図している答え」を求めているものだと解釈します。 ひょんなことから「Birdland Junior English I」のテキストが手に入りました。内容の構成からこの教科書の「狙い」を考えることができそうです。 第８課の「近い未来」で、「be going to」を習った後、第１０課と第１１課で「過去形」を学ぶ構成になっています。 おそらくご質問の問題はこのあたりのことを問うものだと想像します。ワーク・ブックは２種類あるようですが、手元にあるのは１種類だけです。（その中に似たような問題はありましたが、全く同じ問題は見当たりませんでした。ご質問の問題は、別のもう１種類のワーク・ブックのものだと考えられます。） テキスト本体の第１０課と第１１課において「this morning」が含まれた英文は結構ありました。一部を紹介します。ほとんどが「（ ）内に適当な語を選んで入れよ。」か「形を換えよ。」という問題です。 【テキスト本体】 (Were) you here this morning? I (was) sleepy this morning, but ... Our classromm (was) clean this morning. (Did) you read the newspaper this morning? Who (phoned) Miss Kim early this morning? It (was) snowing this morning. 【ワーク・ブック】 She (was) in the park this morning. It (rained) hard this morning. ..., but this morning he (got) up at eight. ..., but this morning he (ate) a banana. Mr. Jones read the newspaper this morning. 「this morning」が過去形とともに用いられることが多いことを徹底して教え込もうという意図が強烈に感じられる構成です。（なお、現在形の課も見ましたが、「this morning」は全く使われていないようです。） このようなテキストを基にして考えられた「練習問題」ならば、「this morning」が含まれた英文の中で「looked」という答えを要求することはもっともなことです。というか、ほとんどの生徒が自然に「looked」を入れることでしょう。 作成者も「looked」を前提としているからこそ「I'm going to help her ...」という英文を続けたのでしょう。それで何の問題もない自然な文脈を持った会話になります。 「looked」を入れて自然な会話の流れになればもうそれで十分だと思いますが、現在形の「looks」が入る可能性はないのかという疑問についてまとめておきましょう。 「birdland」という教科書の構成の目当て、「this morning」とともに用いられる動詞の基本的な時制、「be going to」の持っている意味と会話の流れの整合性、万が一「looks」を用いることを可とする場合には時間的に複雑な状況の想定しなければならない点など、あらゆる点から考えた結果、やはり２番目の（ ）内に入るものは「looked」しかないだろうと思います。 とても面白いご質問でかなり楽しませてもらいましたが、個人的にはこれ以上考えることにもはや意味はないだろうと思います。どうもお疲れ様でした。

男性の友人からとても美しい箱に入った紅茶をフランスのお土産としてただいたのですが、 Just a note to thank you for the beautiful box in the tea! That was very delicious tea. We realy enjyoud this morning. Mom and sister were surprise to find the nice box. 英訳お願いいたします。 I really look forward to our holiday and seeing you. Last week was not the best week for me ... so I can really use a holiday and I can't think of anyone else who I would like to spend my holiday with. I'm really looking forward to see you again. My Korean customer is having some problems and management is breathing down my neck to solve the problems ... but it seems the problems are not in my area. And also this week my cleaning lady quit! I need to find a new cleaning lady. She said I asked her to do too much for only 4 hours of cleaning.
