＞ただ現実問題として，解答を考えると，last week で過去形 still, this morning で現在形this afternoon で未来形という出題意図なのだと思います。 案外、実態はこの辺にあるのかもしれませんね。しかし、次の結論は修正する必要があると思います。 ＞先生の方で，生徒の解答を見て，後から looked でも丸にしようか，と気づくことになるでしょうが。 → 生徒の解答を見て，正解は「looks」ではなくて「looked」だったんだ，と気づくような先生であってほしい。 ただし、この問題が中学のものか高校のものかは分かりませんが、「will」と「be going to」の違いは、最近の高校生のテキストであればちゃんと説明されています。 ちなみに、手元にある「文英堂」の高校１年向けの問題集には「時制」の項目で解説とその違いを問う練習問題が出ています。 ２０年前～３０年前であれば「will」と「be going to」の違いがそれほど強調されることはなかったように思いますが、今は状況が異なっていることを知らなければなりません。教える側も、最新の、というか正しい知識を吸収する姿勢が必要です。 もし、この問題が高校生向けのものであれば、「be going to」の意味に気づくことを求めることは無理なことではありませんし、作成者（教師？）側もそれくらいの知識は持っていてほしいですね。 今回のご質問は、「現在形」か「過去形」の正当性をお聞きになられているものですので、与えられた英文の状況から考えればやはり「『過去形』の『looked』が正しい。」と回答せざるを得ません。

男性の友人からとても美しい箱に入った紅茶をフランスのお土産としてただいたのですが、 Just a note to thank you for the beautiful box in the tea! That was very delicious tea. We realy enjyoud this morning. Mom and sister were surprise to find the nice box. 英訳お願いいたします。 I really look forward to our holiday and seeing you. Last week was not the best week for me ... so I can really use a holiday and I can't think of anyone else who I would like to spend my holiday with. I'm really looking forward to see you again. My Korean customer is having some problems and management is breathing down my neck to solve the problems ... but it seems the problems are not in my area. And also this week my cleaning lady quit! I need to find a new cleaning lady. She said I asked her to do too much for only 4 hours of cleaning. ちなみにこれは中２の教科書、Birdlandからの問題でした。 なるほど、出題意図としてはstill, this morning で現在形と答えさせたいんだろうけど、「will」と「be going to」の違いから過去形なんですね。
