money は数えれない名詞です。日本語の感覚では、数えれる名詞と思ってしまいます。 数えられるのは、紙幣とかコインとかそういう場合です。「お金」という抽象的な意味なので、複数形の s はつかないのです。英語の感覚で考える必要があります

不適切な部分を選ぶ問題です。 いろいろ調べたのですが、どこが誤りなのかわかりません。 助けて下さい。出来れば解答の理由もお願いします。 (a) The little girl was (1 afraid of) her stepfather (2 and) didn't want (3 to come) back (4 home). (b) (1 He had) some terrible experiences (2 in) his (3 military service) and he is now (4 in a mental) hospital. 自分の見解 (a)は誤りの箇所に検討がつけれらません。 (b)はinの代わりにofが求めている答えの気がしますが、inはそのままでhadがhas hadの方がいいような気がして迷ってます。 以上お願いします。

本当に基本的な問題で申し訳ないのですがよろしくお願いします。 1)次の文の誤りを訂正しなさい。 My watch was robbed. 2)２つの文が似た意味になるように（ ）に適当な語をいれなさい。 He lost his life in the accident. The accident ( ) him of his life. 私の解答は 1) My watch was stolen. 2) The accident robbed him of his life. ですが、解答は 1) I was robbed of my watch. 2) The accident deprived him of his life. でした。 例文を探してみると ・Her watch was stolen. （同一問題集内） ・Fear robbed her of speech. （ジーニアス英和） とあるので、私の解答も間違いではないと思うのです。 他の解答のところにはA,またはBと複数の解答例が示してあるのにここの解答では１つしか正解に扱われていません。またなぜかわざわざ難しい？解答例が示されているようで、何か裏があるのかよくわかりません。 もし私の解答では不可だと言う場合、なぜ不可なのか、示した例文と何が違うのか、お教え頂ければ幸いです。

初めまして。 (a)の英文をまとめたモノを(b)とするとき、空所に適切な単語を入れるという問題です。 (a) "Really.John,"Mary said,"if I were you, I would take the money to the police." (b) Mary ( ） John to take the money to the police. 解答はadvisedとなってました。 確かに解答を見てから、なるほど、とは思いましたが、私はこの問題を最初に見た際に [persuaded]を思いつきました。 解答では１つしか示されてなかったのですが、もしこの問題で[persuaded]を選んだとしたら正答になるでしょうか？ また、ならないのであれば、その理由も教えていただけますでしょうか。 よろしくお願いします。

I was doing some last-minute Christmas shopping in a toy store and decided to look at Barbie dolls for my nieces. A nicely dressed little girl was excitedly looking through the Barbie dolls as well, with a roll of money clamped tightly in her little hand. When she came upon a Barbie she liked, she would turn and ask her father if she had enough money to buy it. He usually said "yes," but she would keep looking and keep going through their ritual of "do I have enough?" As she was looking, a little boy wandered in across the aisle and started sorting through the Pokemon toys. He was dressed neatly, but in clothes that were obviously rather worn, and wearing a jacket that was probably a couple of sizes too small. He too had money in his hand, but it looked to be no more than five dollars or so at the most. He was with his father as well, and kept picking up the Pokemon video toys. Each time he picked one up and looked at his father, his father shook his head,"no".
