これは比喩です。過去の２つの革命が生んだものを、テロリストや労働者にたとえ、現在の革命が生んだものを視聴者にたとえています。つまり、もしもＰ１やＰ２のようなたとえをするならば、現在の革命はこういうたとえになる、と言っているのです。もしも～なら…、という、普通のifの用法です。何々が真ならうんぬんは考えすぎでしょう。これは１８世紀、１９世紀、２０世紀の革命の生んだものを３人の人間にたとえているのです。３人とも孤独であるという共通点もあります。 こういう文章の理解にはある種の文学的なセンスが必要です。

英語長文の問題集でこんな表現に遭遇しました。 The journalists storongly said that in a world if 24-hour news on the Internet and cable television, they could never compete effectively at being the first to inform the public of the latest events. なお原文をそのまま引用するとまずいので、主語、動詞、時制などに変更を加えてます。 自分がどうしてもわからないのは、in a world if 24-hour news on the Internet and cable televsion. の部分です。ifが節構造を持たずに名詞だけを従えています。意味は「インターネットやケーブルテレビで２４時間いつでもニュースを見られる世界では」となんとなくわかるのですが、ifの働きがわからないとどうもすっきりしません。 ちなみに、henceという単語は、 Tomy said nothing, hence her anger (came). という風に後ろの動詞（comeなど）を省略して用いる用法がありますが、このifもこれと同じような使い方がされているのでしょうか？つまり後ろに動詞が省略されているのでしょうか？ お時間がある時で構いませんのでよろしくお願いします。

The February Revolution (Russian: Февра́льская револю́ция; IPA: [fʲɪvˈralʲskəjə rʲɪvɐˈlʲutsɨjə], known in Soviet historiography as the February Bourgeois Democratic Revolution ) was the first of two revolutions in Russia in 1917. It was centered on Petrograd (now known as St. Petersburg), then the Russian capital, on Women's Day in March (late February in the Julian calendar). The revolution was confined to the capital and its vicinity, and lasted less than a week. It involved mass demonstrations and armed clashes with police and gendarmes, the last loyal forces of the Russian monarchy. In the last days, mutinous Russian Army forces sided with the revolutionaries. The immediate result of the revolution was the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II, the end of the Romanov dynasty, and the end of the Russian Empire. The Tsar was replaced by a Russian Provisional Government under Prince Georgy Lvov.

HOBBIT ３３６ページを読んでいます。古い本なので今でも使われるのかはわかりませんが、、、。 There was, of course, no longer any question of dividing the hoard in such shares as had been planned, to Balin and Dwalin, and Dori and Nori. これの、in such shares as の意味と用法、文法が分かりません。 古い表現なのか？っと思いネイティブに聞いたら、今でもこういう表現は使われるとのことでした。 as は that と置き換えて考えて。っと言われたので、え？っと思って調べても、そういう表現は見つかりません。 as と that は置き換えられるんですか？ which も同じでしょうか？？ また、 in such のin はsuchにかかる前置詞でしょうか？？？ 質問が多くてもうしわけありません。何か知っていたら教えていただきたいです。
