(1) 「それはあなた方次第なんですよ.」 どちらが良いかはあなた方が決めてください,という意味ですね. 修理が終わらないうちは,いくら長時間並んでも無駄ですよ,私を待たせるとそうなりますが,私を先に通して修理させるのと,どっちが良いですか,と聞いています. シェイクスピアの喜劇で「As you like it (お気に召すまま)」というのがあります. (2) 自動詞での wait for は人や物事を待つ場合に一般的です.しかし他動詞での使い方もあり,wait one's return がまさにその例です. (3) 他人の行動を一方的に決め付けているわけですから,命令形(に近い)と言えるでしょう. (4) for があるとより正確ですが,会話体の文章ですから,短縮形になるのはよくあることです.

回答ありがとうございます。 >「それはあなた方次第なんですよ.」 これは他の英語の表現に言い換えると、“It's up to you.”または“It depends on you.”になると考えていいんですね。
