雨の中ナイトクラブの前で順番待ちしていた列に若い男が割り込む場面の会話です。 In front of a night club, people are patiently queueing, waiting their turn despite the rain. Suddenly a young man arrives, jostles a few people and goes resolutely towards the beginning of the queue. An enormous hand seizes him by the collar of his jacket. ― Hey, queue-jumper! You are going to queue up like everybody... or else... The hefty doesn't need to finish his sentence! ― It's as you like, sir, answers the young ma, but if I don't get through now, all of you are going to wait long time. The sound system is broken and I'm the repair man! そこで質問です。 (1)“It's as you like.”は直訳すると「それはあなたの好きなように。」となりますが、もっと上手く訳すとどうなるでしょうか？ (2)waitは自動詞で目的語が来る場合はforが必要だったと思いますが、 turnの場合は要らないんでしょうか？ (3)“You are going to queue up like everybody...”の be going to はここではどう解釈すればいいでしょうか？ (4) 「長い間」というのは forなしで long timeとできるんでしょうか？

(1) 「それはあなた方次第なんですよ．」 どちらが良いかはあなた方が決めてください，という意味ですね． 修理が終わらないうちは，いくら長時間並んでも無駄ですよ，私を待たせるとそうなりますが，私を先に通して修理させるのと，どっちが良いですか，と聞いています． シェイクスピアの喜劇で「As you like it (お気に召すまま）」というのがあります． (2) 自動詞での wait for は人や物事を待つ場合に一般的です．しかし他動詞での使い方もあり，wait one's return がまさにその例です． (3) 他人の行動を一方的に決め付けているわけですから，命令形（に近い）と言えるでしょう． (4) for があるとより正確ですが，会話体の文章ですから，短縮形になるのはよくあることです．

(1)私だったら「何とでも仰ってください。」と訳します。 (2)普通はforが必要ですね。これはご察しの通り、turnやchanceなどの限られた目的語を取る場合には forなしの用法があります。 (3)これは２人称の主語を付けて命令を表します。be going to は近接未来で何も難しくありません。or elesがあるので、少し脅かしのニュアンスがありますね。 (4)いや、ここでforを使うと、waitのpostpositionのような働きになりますので、故意的にforを省略したのかもしれませんね。

（１） 「私はそれでも構いませんぜ」という感じでしょうか。 （２） 「wait」は他動詞にもなります。余り聞かない用例ですが、辞書にも載っていますのでご確認ください。 （３） 英語は「you」を付けた平文で、命令形にもなりますね。例えば「You don't cry」で泣くなとか、泣かないでとか。「be going to」を使うと若者の次の動作をせかしているように聞こえます。「さっさと並びな」というところでしょう。次に「or els （さもないと）」が来ますので強い調子ですね。 （４） 確かに普通は「wait for a long time」ですね。まあ、いずれにしろ意味は明確だと思いますが。

He's like 'alright I'm ready to go' it's just like, what's going on? And we all know what's going on. I think this problem of holding on to valuable employees and keeping the headhunters at bay, if you like, I think the problem will undoubtedly become more serious in the future in Japan. ここでの "if you like" は "if you please" や "if you will"に言い換え可能でしょうか。
