Would you care to come?などのときに使われるcare to～はwant to～と同義とありますが、ニュアンスのちがいが知りたいです。 私の感覚だと、Do you want to come?と聞くと直接的でぶっきらぼうな英語なので、Would you like to come?をよく使いますが、それと同じニュアンスでWould you care to come?と言うような気がします。 言いかえれば、婉曲表現の一種と言ってもいいし、丁寧な言い方という気もするのですが、その考え方で合っていますか？実際Would you とセットで使うことが多いような気もするのですが、いかがでしょう？ また、名詞と一緒に使うcare for～の形（Would you care for a cup of coffee?など）を考えても、やっぱり誘う言い方で使うことが多いような気がするのでしょうが、いかがでしょうか？ アクティブボキャブラリーで使うことのできる方々是非ご伝授願います。

「もしあなたが日本に来るならどこに行きたいですか？」を英語にすると「Where would you like to go if you came to Japan?」でcomeのところは過去形になるんですよね？ 「もしあなたがアメリカに行くならどこに行きたいですか？」を英語にすると「Where would you like to go if you go to America?」で合っていますか？goのところは過去形にするのか、そもそもこの英語はおかしいのかが分かりません(>_<) 初歩的な質問で申し訳ないのですがどなたか教えて下さいm(_ _)m

A group of young Japanease boys started to come around a man (sit) a few seats in front of me. （）の中を適切な形に直しなさいという問題です。 この問題の答えと訳を教えて下さい。 ある文章の一部なのですが、「私の数席前に座っている男の人の周りに・・・」という内容にできると本文とも合致して良いのですが、a man (sit) a few seats in front of me.の部分をそのように訳すことは可能でしょうか。その場合の答えは分詞を使ってsittingで良いのでしょうか？高校入試の問題です。 a few seats in front of me で「私の数席前」という訳が可能ならうれしいです。 他のサイトでも質問し、不定詞のto sitが答えだという回答をいただいたのですが、それだと本文の内容にうまく合致しません。 ただ、不定詞しか答えになり得ないのなら仕方ないのですが。 宜しくお願いします。
