前置詞と関係代名詞の組み合わせ
文の構造が分からない文章に出くわしました。長文の一部なのですが意味ではなくて文の構造が知りたいのでその部分だけ載せます。 "There are about 10 million old-age pensioners in Britain,of whom about 750,000 cannot live entirely independently." この文章のof whom以降が分かりません。よろしくお願いします。

In this company, there are many employees, some of ( ) are freshmen. 上記の文章で()にあてはまる語を which, whom, those, them から選択する問題で答えはwhom でした。whoの所有格ということでwhomだそうですが some of themでも「彼らのうち何人かは」という意味になると思います。関係代名詞のwhomでなければならない理由は何でしょうか。

- 縫い始めにおいて、LS800でキルト生地や綿100%の製品を作成中に裏布の糸が絡まってしまう問題が発生しています。上糸・下糸のセットし直しや押さえの確認は済んでおり、糸調子の変更も行っていません。初心者ですので、アドバイスをいただきたいです。
- LS800を購入して2週間程度の初心者です。縫い始め2cm程度で裏布の糸が絡まるトラブルが発生しています。糸はポリエステル100%のサイズ60を使用しています。キルト生地や綿100%の製品を作成しています。アドバイスをいただけると助かります。
