つまり、英文を書いている今、said した時点、will/would で表わされる未来 この３時点を見た場合に、said の時点と英文を書いている今が相当時間隔たりがあると、 said の時点から見た未来は、この英文を書いた今から見ると終わっている可能性が高いです。 said - would - 今 この場合は will が would になって当然です。 しかし、said がついさっきとか、今とあまり離れていないと、 未来というのは said の時点から見ても、英文を書いた今から見ても同様に未来になります。 今回の場合も、said の時点から未来、というのなら過去未来の would となりますが、 英文を書いている今から見ても同様に未来、と考えれば will でいいのです。

ちょくちょく質問になっています。 つい最近も。 http://okwave.jp/qa/q8839911.html (1)　He said it will rain tomorrow. 「彼は明日雨が降るだろうと言っていた。」 (2)　He said it would rain the following day. 「彼は明日雨が降るだろうと言っていた。」 普通に時制の一致を受ける(2)の場合、 たとえば11月20日に「明日は雨が降るだろう」と言った。 この文を書いているのは現在11月28日。 この直接話法での「明日」は11月21日のことで、 今28日からすると「明日」ではなく、「20日の翌日」the following day 20日から未来の21日のことを今の目線で書けば would となります。 一方、今日28日の１時間前くらいに「明日は雨が降るだろうと言った」の場合、 この「明日」は書いている今から見ても「明日」で、 その明日という未来はこの文を書いている今から未来、というのと変わりありません。 だから、「言った」という過去にとらわれず、will を使っていい、ということになります。 普通に時制の一致というのは過去文脈とも言うべき、過去のストーリーなどであり、 習慣のこととか、ついさっきのことであれば過去に合わせる必要はありません。

Fumiyo Saito said she will make her abducted brother, Kaoru Matsuki, his favorite dish when he comes home. こういうのは杓子定規でやってもダメです。 まず、学校で習った文が正しいとしても、これが間違いとは言えないのです。 たとえば、 Yesterday, he said he would be here the day after tomorrow. →これは、昨日彼は明後日に行くよと言った。 Yesterday, he said he will be here tomorrow. でもいいわけですよね。 このYesterdayを文脈上明らかなら省略して He said he will be here tomorrow. でもいいことになります。つまり、saidが来ても、willという文脈はあるのです。 He said he will visit his uncle. これを、1分前の電話で聞いて、彼の予定は変っていないはずだと思えば成立します。 では5分前でも言えるはずです。ならば、1時間前の電話でも。もしかして、3日前の電話であっても。どこで境界線を引くかは、人によります。しかし、時間が経てばたつほど、彼の気が変わっている・彼の事情や予定が変っている可能性が増します。ですから、willが言いにくくなります。 松木薫さんの姉の斉藤文代さんは「薫が帰って来たら好きなところてんをつくってあげます。 →長年そう思っていて、つい最近もそう言っていたのなら、このwillは自然な英語と言えます。 以上、ご参考になればと思います。
