質問

以下の長文に対する答えですが。。。

Dear Mr.Hawthorne,
I am writing to express my disappointment with your company's customer service and to let you know that I will no longer be purchasing any products from Trac Computing.
I frist contacted Trac Computing's customer sevice by telephone on November 11th.
After being put on hold for more than twenty minutes I was told by a custmer service representative that a technician would contact me that evening.
After receiving no telephone call I called customer service the next day.
When I asked why I had received no telephone call the representative told me that a call had been made but that I had not answered.
This was obviously not true because the number I had given was for mobile phone, which I had with me the whole evening.
I then asked the representative to connect me to a technician.
The representative answered that no technicians were available at the moment.
It is at this point that I decided to write a letter to you directly.

Why has the customer written a letter to Mr.Hawthorne?
１)To have her service upgraded.
２)To congratulate Mr.Hawthorne on his company's excellent product.
３）To inform Mr.Hawthorne that he has lost a customer.
４）To get a refund from Mr.Hawthorne's comapny.

ぜんぶ正解です。

1．この手紙を書いた理由は、
to let you know that I will no longer be purchasing
any products from Trac Computing.
つまり、「Trac Computing から今後一切いかなる商品も購入しない
ことを知らせるため」といっているので、（3）で正解です。

2．I was told by a custmer service representative that
a technician would contact me that evening.
「私は、顧客サービスの人から、技術者がその日の夜に連絡するだろうと
言われた」と書いてあるので、（2）で正解です。

3．I then asked the representative to connect me to a technician.
「そこで、私はその担当者に対し、電話を技術者につないでくれ、と頼んだ」
という書いてあるので、（2）で正解です。
