発音記号を見ても分かりません。例えば「Special」と入力すると「スペシャル」と教えてくれるようなフリーソフトや辞書をご存知でしたら教えて頂きたいです、宜しくお願い致します。

英単語をカタカナで表記するのはある意味、まっとうなことだと思います。 しかし、ちょっと変だなぁと思うこともあります。 例えば、 トーイック(TOEIC) ... 英語の検定を受けようという人間が使うカタカナじゃないだろ！ ウィンドウス(Windows)・ワード(Word)・エクセル(Excel) ... 商品名なんだからそのままの言葉(英語)がいいんじゃないの？ と感じています。 逆に、 メール、メッセージ、パスワード等は、帰化した単語のような気がしてカタカナの方がすっきりします。 状況によって、アルファベットで記述する時、カタカナで記述する時があると思いますが、皆さんはどのように考えますか。

lasting feel pursuit latest の4つです。 おそらく lasting＝ラスティング feel=フィール pursuit＝パースィート lasest＝レイティスト だと思いますが、確信がありません。 裏付ける資料＆本などが手元になくて。 意味は pursuit＝（知識、快楽などの）追求。追跡。 feel=感じる、思う。 latest＝最新の、最近の、 lasting＝永続する、永久の です。 カタカナ読みと、その調べるサイトなどが ありましたら、ぜひ教えてください。

家庭教師をしています。長年の経験から、勉強が苦手な子供には英単語にカタカナをふってもいいことにしています。それで、ふと困りました。FEWです。中3の生徒は、「フュー」ではないの？というけれど日本語にはそんなのないですよね。ファミリー、フェイルとかは、近いものをつくれるのですが。もともと不可能なことなのですが、すこしでも興味をもってくれればと思って、、、。THは、スの上に黒丸をしてみたり、、、。何か良い方法があれば教えてください。
