辞書に掲載されていない単語
こんにちは。先日、ベルギーから以下の内容を含んだメールを受け取ったのですが、"epydemiology"と言う単語を調べたのですがどの辞書にも載っていません。相手の方は、何を勉強しているのでしょうか。分かる方で教えて頂けると幸いです。 "Hello.I'm a PhD student in epydemiology and health at university."

epy- ではなくて epidemiology のスペルミスだと思います。 「疫学」と訳されます。集団内での病気の発生率、伝染病の流行、生活習慣など諸々の因子と病気の発症などの関連性を統計的な手法で分析することを目的にした医学の一分野です。

こんにちは。 先日海外のショッピングサイトにて購入した商品を返品したく思いショップにメールを送信した所、返品方法などが記載されたメールが返信されてきたのですが、分からない部分がありました。 こちらの文章なのですが、 Please, if you would be so nice to declare the item for the customs as "retour" and without any value - or if necessary only with a value of 100,- Euro (if it is possible to declare the value lower than the insurance). これは、発送する際、申告書に価格を100ユーロの"retour"と言う商品として申告して欲しいと言う事なのでしょうか。"retour"と言う単語を辞書で調べたのですが、掲載されておらず困っています。 どなたか教えて頂けると幸いです。

「私は大学生です」という時は、I'm a college student. と言うのはよく聞くのですが、I'm a university student.とは言わない気がします。やはり、自己紹介の時などに、I'm a university student.と言うのは不自然なことなのでしょうか？

日本の大学 今回は日本の大学について書いてみました。 最近誰も回答してくれないのですが。英語のためがんばります。 実際僕も大学生の年齢なので、よく大学のことはわかるつもりです。 ちなみに２０です。 すいませんが最近英語力のライティングをあげようと英作文をまいにち書くようにしてます。 レベルのひくい英作文ではずかしいのですが。できれば文法や細かい間違いを指摘して頂けると幸いです。 I would like to talk about university in Japan. It is said that university in Japan is difficult to enter it, but it is easy to graduate from your university. How about foreign universities are. In the USA, on the contrary, it is easy to enter a university and difficult to graduate from it, so many student in the USA drop out from their university. I have friends who are university student in Japan. This is in my opinion, I think that my friends who are university student don’t trend to study hard. I am not criticizing them just because there are many temptations so many university students yield to temptation. I think if I were a university student in Japan, I would not study hard. This is because I tend to puzzle from surrounding environment. However, I like people who are university student !!!

以前、ドコモの携帯を使用していてダウンロード辞書を使っていたんですがiPhoneにはそのような機能はないんでしょうか？ 例えば「はろー」と入力すれば予測変換に「Hello」が出てきますが使ってて出てこない単語の方が多くて不便に感じてます。 変換したい単語が決まっていればユーザ辞書登録をするんですが特に決まってないので英単語の機能をあげたいんですが適したものはありますか？または「こんにちは」と入力すると「Hello」が出てくるものもありませんか？
