As of this July, I will have been engaged for three years and with my boyfriend for 12. We have put off getting married for quite some time now and I have resigned myself to the fact that it may not happen. I set a date which then passed because he wanted his family present when we get married. He refuses to marry in the state his family is in because “I don’t live there and have any connection to there” he states. So, this involves his family having to come out here for us to get married. After many discussions, I have tapped out. I refuse to look at places to rent for this event or even set a date. His family thinks it is me that is putting on these demands but it’s not. I have now told him that I really don’t care if we get married (seriously, by now I’m just over it) but I get asked all the time “when are you getting married?” On one hand it’s pretty embarrassing that after 12 years we still can’t get it together. putting on these demandsとget it togetherの意味を教えてください。よろしくお願いします

よろしくお願いします。 最近のBBCの分で "John Holmes told reporters that Burma's response to the disaster was <nothing like as much as is needed>" とありました。 この＜＞内の "nothing like as much as is needed" の意味と文型をおしえてくれないでしょうか？ 主語は nothing? as much as 以下には普通対比される名詞などがくると思うのですがこの場合はどこにいってしまったのでしょうか？ 意味としては、災害に対するビルマの対応が何より大切、 という意味だと思うのですが、文の要素、文の構成がわかりません。 教えてください！！

My boyfriend and I have a temporary roommate (we’re halfway through her six-month lease) and I am wondering if it’s OK to ask her to at least play music or turn the tv on when she and her boyfriend have sex. Our bedroom is several rooms away from hers, and it sounds like she is right next to us. This isn’t to mention how awkward it is when we’re sitting in the living room with guests (like, our parents for example!) which is next to her bedroom and they are seriously going at it.
