この文章について聞いたアメリカ人の友達は、法律関係ではないですがプロのライターでkeep false company withという言い方を聞いたことがないといってました。私も気になってkeep false company withの形でググってみたのですが、この形でヒットはせずでした。それとa single person in Bでinの後に人がくるのが文法的にアウトだということでした。 それぞれの業界で独特の言い回しがあるので法律関係では有り得る言い方なのかもしれないですし、イギリス英語など他の英語圏の法律関係の言い方なのかもしれないですね。ただアメリカで普通の会話や文章では見かけない言い方だと思います。私自身が気になるので他の友人にも聞いてみて法律関係で使いそうな言い方を聞いてまた書き込みます。

If not, it's not worth it. 以下は疑問点です。 ・in a way は「ある意味」という訳であっていますか？また本文では省略しても意味が通じるように思いますが、その通りでしょうか。 ・in a way 以降の that it makes it ～ の最初の it は Stay single～life を指しますか？また2番目の it は life のことでしょうか。 ・to not be single とありますが、not to be single の間違いではないでしょうか。 よろしくお願いいたします。

company と companionの違いを調べてみると "Company" - in this context is a non count noun. It means we are with another person or other people. We do not use the article "a" in front of it. I have company = there is another person or some other people with me. "Companion" - in this context is the person you are travelling with. It is a countable noun so we use the article "a" unless there is more than one. I have a companion. I have 2 companions. I have several companions. という英文が出てきたのですが、 companyは数えられなくて、companionは数えられるということですよね？ 同じ仲間でも数えられるのと数えられないのがあるということがよくわかりません… 仲間なら数えられるんじゃ…と思ってしまいます。 誰か分かりやすく説明していただけませんか？ お願いします。

If not, it's not worth it. ＜頂いた回答＞ あなたの人生を、独身生活よりよくするよう、実際に誰かが相補うまで、独身で居なさい。でなければ（結婚生活は）価値がありません。 ＜わからない箇所＞ compliment は「称賛する、ほめる」という同市である為、「補う（相補う）」という意味ではないと思っています。しかし、文の意味的には「実際に誰かがあなたの人生をほめるまで」よりも「実際に誰かがあなたの人生を補うまで」の方が合っているようにも思います。そこで質問としては以下です。 ・上記の訳は正確でしょうか。 ・また、compliment は「補う」というニュアンスを持ち合わせているのでしょうか。 よろしくお願いいたします。
