日本語訳が間違っている。 "be on holiday" 又は、"go on holiday" は米語でvacationを取るという意味です。 http://www.macmillandictionary.com/thesaurus-category/american/To-be-or-to-go-on-holiday 上記に対して "go on a holiday" は英国語で a holiday=vacation http://www.macmillandictionary.com/dictionary/american/holiday 又は、 http://www.thefreedictionary.com/holiday You refer to a period of time spent away from home enjoying yourself as a holiday. He thought that Vita needed a holiday. I went to Marrakesh for a holiday wouldは◆過去の短期的な習慣・反復行動を表す。～したものだった 長期休暇ましてや休みですら取らなかったものだった という意味であろうと思います。

Is it all right to take tomorrow off as leave because I have an interview that day? この文 Is it ～～～～because I have an interview on that day? でも 同じ文なのではないのでしょうか？ また Is it all right to take tomorrow off as leave because I have an interview at that day? でも 「～ だって僕は、そのころ、面接があるんだから。」と取れるので、これも可能な英文ではないのでしょうか？ なら on that day , that day, at that day の違いがわからなくなりました。 辞書で例文をみても・・・・・イマイチ はっきりわかりません。 よろしくお願いいたします。

日時の前にon,を付ける時と、付けない時がありますが、理由がいまいち解りません。教えて下さい。 例）It will be sunny this Sunday. I have a tight schedule on Saturday. 以下の例文では意味がどう違いますか？ 例）I'd like to take off on this Saturday. I'd like to take off this Saturday. 初歩的では有りますが、宜しくお願いします。

どこかで、「趣味はgoing on a trip」 と書いてあり、 こういう時にgo onを使うの？？って思って 辞書でgo onを調べると、『続ける、進む』などなどの意味が 出ていましたが「行く」とは書いてありませんでした。 しかし、tripで調べると例文で go on a sightseeing trip to～『～へ観光旅行に行く』 と載っていました。 「旅行へ行く」はgo on ～を使うのですか？ go toだと思っていたのですが・・・ 英語がダメダメな私に誰か愛の手を～～

同じ 「乗る」でも、「get」と「take」で、教科書の答えが異なります。 私は毎日電車に乗ります I get on a train every day 彼らはタクシーに乗ります They take a taxi 彼はバスに乗りません He does not get on a bus 彼らは毎日バスにのりますか？ Do they get on a bus every day? 「get」と「take」の使い分けのコツか何かあるのでしょうか？ よろしくお願いします
