Classes in American universities and colleges vary depending on the level of study (first year, second year, third year, or fourth year) as well as the subject. Usually in the first two years of university and college, students are required to take general education courses. These courses typically cover all the disciplines, so students are required to take one course in science, one course in math, one course in sociology, one course in writing, and so on. These classes are established to teach academic skills but are also intended to help students think more broadly about different topics. There are some science students that might never take a sociology class. Therefore, the general education requirement encourages students to experience a more liberal arts type of education. In the social and behavioral science course in particular, classroom participation is not only expected but your grade can depend upon your ability to speak up and contribute in the classroom. Professors often expect you to say what you think, even if that opinion is not yet informed by reading or research. They also expect you to tell them what you know after you've done the reading or research. In other words, they know the research but they what to make sure you also know the research. therefore, professors expect you to show them during class discussions and questions that you are critically thinking about the material. Generally, university classes in the United states are very casual. Many students call their professors by their first names and often students will chew gum or eat snacks during their classes. Students also dress very casually and often wear sweats and occasionally even pajamas to class.

長いですがお願いします…。 People in Bhutan learn English from a young age. Of course they learn their own language at school, but their teachers teach math, science, and other things in English. Some Bhutanese high school students go to universities in India after finishing school. It is not difficult for them to study in India because many Indian university classes are taught in English. Bhutanese students also go to universities in Bhutan. There are many Indian and other foreign people teaching there. Because most of those teachers speak English, the language used in those classes is English. 大変長くて申し訳ありません…泣 至急です!

So intimate is the relation between a language and the people who speak it that the two can scarcely be thought of apart. A language lives only so long as there are peo- ple who speak it and use it as their native tongue, and its greatness is only that given to it by these people. A language is important because the people who speak it are important-politically, economically, commercialally, social-ly, culturally. English, French, and German are great and important languages because they are the languages of great and important peoples; for this reason they are widely studied outside the country of their use. -A. 自然な訳をお願いできますか? I do think it's creepy, and because thereis a connection to these characters that are fallible, and i think that is the main draw over and above the horror. I think the great connectedness is that they contradict themselves, they're full of contradictions. As we discussed earlier, no one is who they seem to be and that is kind of who we are.

和訳お願いします。 What makes somebody attractive? And this can be asked at all sorts of levels but a simple level is what makes for a pretty face? So,these are, according to ratings, very attractive faces. They are not the faces of real people. What's on the screen are computer generated faces of a Caucasian male and a Caucasian female who don't exist in the real world. But through using this sort of computer generation, and then asking people what they think of this face, what they think of that face, scientists have come to some sense as to what really makes a face attractive, both within cultures and across cultures. And that's something which we're going to devote some time to when we talk about social behavior, and in particular, when we talk about sex .Not all attractiveness, not all beauty of course,is linked to sex. So,pandas for instance, like this panda, are notoriously cute, and I don't have anything to say about it really. It's just a cute picture(laughter).

The study suggests people who speak two languages may find it easier to pay attention than those who can speak only one language. It found differences in the way bilingual brains and the brains of people who speak one language process speech sounds. Bilingual people are better at picking out a syllable such as “da” or “ta”, even when other people are talking at the same time. That difference in hearing also seems to improve the attention and memory of those who speak more than one language, they say. “Because you have two languages in your head, you become very good at choosing what is relevant and what is not. You are a mental juggler,” says Nina Kraus, a professor of neurobiology at Northwestern, who was part of the study team. 1.4~5行目のBilingual people are better at picking out a syllable such as “da” or “ta”の意味はわかるのですが、いまいちピンときません。da, taの音節を識別するというのは具体的にどういうことですか? 2.第二段落3~4行目のyou become very good at choosing what is relevant and what is not.の意味がよくわかりません。relevantはここではどういう意味で、what is relevant and what is notを選ぶのがうまくなるというのはどういう意味ですか? わかる方解説のほどよろしくお願いします。
