I would appreciate it if you would answer . 「答えてくれたら、ありがたい」という訳でいいですか。 if you answer は、「もし貴方が答えるなら」 if you would answer は、「もし貴方が答えてくれるなら」 という感じで、この would は、丁寧を表す助動詞でいいですか。 I appreciate it は、「私はそれに感謝する」 I would appreciate it は、「私はそれに感謝するのになぁ」 といニュアンスで、この would は、願望を表す助動詞でいいですか。 この場合、wouldは、現実に反している=「今は、感謝していない」 も含まれているから、相手に失礼ではないかと懸念しています。 それならば、今、感謝しているか、否かが含まれていないwillを使うべきでしょうか。 I will appreciate it 「私は、感謝するだろう」 という感じで。 could,might,shouldなども、不明瞭で 「できるのになぁ、かもしれないのになぁ、すべきだよなぉ」 でよいですか。

車で迎えに来てもらったりとか、おつかいをお願いするときなどに使いたいのですが、"if you can/could spare the time"と"if you aren't busy"ではどちらがより丁寧、または感じよく聞こえるか教えてください。 また自分からお願いするときでなく、相手が「迎えに行くよ」といってくれた場合にも「もしお時間があるなら/よかったら/忙しくないのなら、そうしてもらえると嬉しいです」というようなことを言いたいのですが、いい表現があったら教えてください。 I'd appreciate it if you could do that. と言う表現を見つけたのですが、友達同士の場合は堅苦しく聞こえますか？

- この文を過去の意味にすると。。。。
It would be nice if you could have this finished by Monday. 「月曜までにこれを終わらせてくれると良いのですが」 「月曜までにこれを終わらせてくれてたら良かったのですが」と、過去を表す場合は It would have been nice if you could have had this finished by Monday. この英文で正しいでしょうか？ また、wishを使った場合は、 I wish you could have this finished by Monday. I wish you could have had this finished by Monday. どちらが正しいでしょうか？ よろしくお願いします。
