英文についてアドバイスしてください

質問

英文の（）を補う問題についてなんですが、自分で考えてみたのですが、あってるか自信がなくて、アドバイスをいただこうと思った次第です。どうかお願いします。

問、次の英文の（）内に適切な語を入れなさい。また訳も答えなさい。
They wrote all the important points ( ) on paper.

自分で考えた答えは（down）です。
write down で書き留めるという意味なので、入れて見たのですが・・・

また、自分で考えた訳は
「彼らは、紙の上にすべての重要な点（事）を書きとめました。
です。

一番です、二番様の「write out」にも清き一票です(拍手)(笑)、ですが、残念乍ら、本来の「完全に書き出す)以外にも、「write out」には「清書する」→「書き改める」のニュアンスも少なからず含んでいますので、この単純な本文単体、、、、、、

「They wrote all the important points ( ) on paper.」

の文意からは「清書する」のイメージは殆ど湧いてこないようですね。

結局、正当派「write down」が大正解、「write down」じゃ当たり前過ぎて面白くないと考えた凝り性の先生が考えた問題としては、捻り派「write out」でも正解でしょうが、高校英語では此処はやはり「write down」で行きましょう!

　書き出す。　という意味です。

じゃぁ　write down が間違いかと言えば、決して間違いとは言えない

と思います。
