The accident happened when I got a lift in my friend's car. The accident happened when I was in my friend's car. be動詞は自分の居場所を表すことが出来る便利な動詞です。 If I knew how to take another route, I would go a different route. But if I know only one way [ to go there], I go on the way even if the road is croweded. You are nice as it is.(太っている事を悩んでいる子に) itは物に対して使いますので、You are nice as you are I'm sure [that] you are pretty nice and you should be proud of yourself. Tell me about the person(man/woman) against you in the accident. です。 I water a tree with a bucket. treeの冠詞、単数/複数はそのときに応じて変えます。

  • a person in my own right

The problem comes when dealing with the other grandmother, especially when others are in the vicinity. I don't know whether it's because I am older than she is or what, but she always addresses me as "Gramma Mary," as in, "Gramma Mary, what would you like to do today?" I find this condescending, disrespectful and rude. First of all, I am not her grandmother. Second, I am a person in my own right, with a job and hobbies. a person in my own rightはどのような意味でしょうか?

When I don't know the way,I ask it to a passer-by. When I didn't know the way,I ask it to a passer-by.

Years ago I began to notice that I was incapable of really being in the moment when I was speaking – or even while I was thinking! In other words, when I’m speaking, I’m not reporting from an instantaneous state of knowing. Rather, I am passing on things I’ve already thought through some what. Speech references past experience, if even only a moment old. It is not of the ‘now’. ‘Now’ is all I can truly know. The rest is only a partial view, after-thoughts, of the ‘nows’ dead and gone. On the other hand…
