it is kind of you to do so. it is important for you to do so. 上記の区別は理解できます。 ところが、 it is marvelous for him to do such a thing.（ジーニアス３版） it is marvelous of him to volunteer his time.（同、４版） という例文に頭をかかえました。 たとえば、 it is marvelous for you to visit Kyoto. it is marvelous of you to visit me. というふうに使いわけているのでしょうか。 二番目の例文でもあえて「for」とすることができるのではないかと思えてしまいます。 「wonderful」でも同じ事態になりそうです。 この辺の事情を明快に納得するにはどうしたものでしょう。 宜しくお願いします。
