簡単な質問で恐縮ですが、unity の使い方わからず困っています。 文章は「In this case, we expected to see an increase in the gain when weak signal energy was reduced and, according to Eq. 1, for large-signal energies the gain should tend to unity」です. unityは１という意味があるのですが、グラフを見ても１に近づきそうもありません。Googleでtend to unityで調べると結構出ますので何かの定型句に様な気がします。 何卒よろしくお願いいたします。

自分で訳してみると内容はなんとなく分かるのですが、いざ日本語で書いてみようとするとうまく訳せず、訳せても日本語として成立していない（不自然な）文章になってしまいます。 多少、意訳が入っても結構ですので、どなたか和訳をお願いいたします。 If, however, the marginal propensity to absorb is greater than unity then the increased income would lead to an even bigger rise in absorption resulting in a worsening of the current account.
