補足・お礼有り難うございました。 折角何かのご縁で乗りかかった見ず知らずのお方の船ではありますが、一寸だけ追求してみました。 ■ bring one up to speed （会議などの前に）予備知識を与える と言う言い回しを大発見! 「マー、前もって喋っておいてたら後の話がよく判ってくれるだろう」ってな感じでしょうね。 お陰様で、一つ勉強させて貰いました。有り難うございます。

なるほど、そうも取れますね。う～ん。やはりネイティブの細かいニュアンスを掴むのって難しいです。 直訳の直訳だと 「5速みたいな超特急でと言うわけではないのだけれど、自分の身におきつつある2，3の大きな出来事について、このブログを読んでくれているみんなに今日の投稿でお知らせしておきたいと思いまして。」 となるのかなと言うのがぼくの出した結論でした。 色々とヒントをいただきありがとうございました。 "shoud"節が理解できただけでもとても助かりました。
