#１で回答した者です。 もう遅いかもしれませんが、一応お返事に書いてあった質問の回答をしておきます。 (1)はreadyで正解です。 (2)はwriteで正解です。 (3) read (4)はcreditsで正解です(複数形の-sが必要ですが)。 (5)はhomeworkで正解です。 (6)はmemorizing/memorizationかと思ったのですが、learn by heartで辞書に載っていたのでheartの様です。 ちなみにcurriculum vitaeとはイギリス英語で履歴書のことです。通常CVと略されて使われています。 #２の方と回答が少し異なる様なので説明を少々書き込みします。 (11)のstumbleは「移動している時に足が何かにあたり転びそうになる」という意味で、tipは「傾く・倒れる」という意味です。２つ共"前置詞 over"が使えるのですが、和訳からいくとstumbleの方が正しいかと思います。 (13)のlettersですが、「文字」という意味で文の末尾にある"A,B,C"を説明しています。訳すると「(文末に)続く文字は学生の成績を申告するのに使われます。」となりますが、grades(「成績」)にすると"A,B,C"が既に成績を表すものであることがその単語で説明されてしまうので、この文自体が説明していることと会わせて二重に「成績」についての説明がされてしまうことになります。間違いではないと思いますが、自然ではなく感じます。学校で貰う成績表の説明に似た文章が見られますが、lettersという単語が使われています。 (4)のcreditsについては、私はアメリカの現役の院生ですが、unit/unitsという言葉はあまり耳にしないので、stargroundさんの書かれたcreditsで良いと思います。ちなみに聴講の場合、単位は貰えないのでcreditsはつきません。

(1)first time と for the first time の違いは何なのでしょうか 両方「はじめて」という意味なのではと思っています。しかし、 This is your first time. とは言うけれど、 This is your for the first time. とは言わない気がします。 また、I visited Nara for the first time last month. 一応自分でもやってみたのですが、うまく解くことが出来ないので解説をお願いします。 四択問題です。 1.
