訳してみました。修正お願いします。
外国人の知り合った人からのメールなんですが、訳すので訳が正しいかどうかと疑問など教えてください。お願いします 小分けに書きますのでわかる箇所だけでもいいのでよろしくお願いします 1. I don't have a job right now. I want to finish high school first, I'm looking for a job though.私は今は仕事はしていない。私は早く高校生を終えたい。いま仕事をさがしています。 2. I was supposed to graduate last year but I am graduating this year instead because I was 1 credit short and had to go back to school.これはわかりません。。 3. As far as I know there aren’t any kyudou clubs in U.S. high schools. アメリカの高校に弓道クラブはありません。。AS FAR AS I KNOWとつくのがよくわかりません。 4 I live in a small city they may have them in larger cities. 私は小さな市に住んでいます。大きな市にはあるかもしれない。(弓道の話しの続きでしょうか？) 5 I cook what I can. usually at home, nothing special.できるものは作るよ。普通に、特別なものではなく。 6. I like Japanese food, and Mediterranean food. what kind of food do you like?私は日本食と地中海料理が好きだよ。どんな食べ物が好き？ 7 Do you think learning English is hard? I would appreciate it if you would teach me Japanese,英語の勉強は大変(HARDとは難しいと訳すべきですか？仕事の場合は辛いとか大変と訳すのでしょうか、わかりません)

1.ＯＫです 今は仕事はしていません。まず高校を卒業してから仕事を探す予定です。 2.本当は去年卒業するはずだったんですが 単位が一つ足りなくて学校に戻らなくてはいけませんでした。 3.私が知っている限り アメリカに弓道部がある高校はありません。 （知らないけどあるかも） 4.その通り弓道の話の続きです。 私が住んでいるのは小さな町なので もっと大きな都市なら弓道部があるのかも。 5.料理は普段家でしますが 特別なものを作るわけじゃないです。 6.ＯＫです 7.難しいでも大変でもどっちでも同じです。 英語の勉強は難しいですか？ もし良ければ 私に日本語を教えてください。

＞3.As far as I know... 私の知る限り...とてもよく使う表現でほとんど決まり文句みたいな感じ。 ＞4.they may have them in larger cities. they：U.S. high schools them: kyudou clubs 大きい町の高校には弓道クラブがあるかもしれない。 ＞5。I cook what I can. usually at home .できるものは作るよ。 できるものを作る、という感じかな。

２は・・・私は去年卒業する予定だったのですが、１つ単位が足りずに学校に戻らなければならず、今年卒業します。と言ったところです。creditは履修単位、be supposed toは「～することになっている」のここでは過去形ですね。 ３は特有の表現です。as far as I can see＝「見渡せる限り」に見られる、as ～ as ＝「～の範囲までは、～に関する限りでは」という表現をご存じだと思います。ここでは、「私の知っている限り」と訳せます。 ４のhardは「大変」とか「難しい」とかいろいろな訳が出来ます。どの訳でもニュアンスは伝わりますよね。I work hardと言えば「一生懸命に」と訳せます。以下は「もしあなたが日本語を教えてくれるのであれば私は感謝するでしょう」と翻訳できます。 ご参考までに。

１、私は早く高校生を終えたい。⇒私はまず高校を卒業したい。 ２、私は昨年卒業するはずだったが、単位が一単位少なくて、もう一年学校に通う必要があったため今年卒業します。 ３、私の知る限り、 ４、 theyは弓道部でしょう。 ７、大変でも難しいでも構いません。

would like はwant より丁寧な感じでwantと同じように使われますよね。 (1)では「あなたに～してほしかった」といいたい場合、「I wanted you to do ~」をもっと丁寧に言いたいので「I would have liked you to do ~」でいいのですか。 (2)「私はあなたがたに、あるがままの日本の姿を味わっていただきたかったのです。」は 「I would have liked you to enjoy the Japanese culture as it is.」 でいいのですか。（これだとなんか、希望したけれどできなかったことについていっているように聞こえるような気がするんですけど。それから、as it is も自信がありません。 (3)過去形で丁寧に「～してほしかったのです」といいたいとき、普通はどう表現したらいいのですか。 よろしくお願いします。

丁寧にありがとうございます。このように単位を落としたことにとくに声をかける必要はないですかね・・・？ たとえば日本語でいうなら、大変だねみたいな。 あと、仕事に関しても、軽く いい仕事がみつかるといいね のように言うのはどうなんでしょうか？もしいうならこの二つはどう英語にしたらいいのですか？すみません教えてください・・・
