英語にすると・・・教えて下さい！
会社の社長（外国人です）が定年を前に辞めることになりました。 送るメッセージとしてこんなのはどうでしょうか？ お詳しい方、訂正他アドバイスお願いします。 It was the tiredness externals for a long time. Please spend the second wonderful life with the madam and the family.

It was the tiredness externals for a long time. 「長い間お疲れさまでした」の意味だろうと思いますが、英語ではこういう言い方をしないので通じないと思います。 英語では、こういう場合、congratulations（おめでとう）と言うのが普通のようです。 Please spend the second wonderful life with the madam and the family. それほど悪くないと思いますが、second lifeという言い方は、「退職後の第二の人生」というより、例えば「(転職等による）やりなおしの新しい人生」のようなイメージではないかと思います。 私なら、例えば、次のように言います。 Congratulations! I hope you will enjoy your long and happy retirement with Madam and your family.

こんにちは。 退職のメッセージを送るということは、割りとこじんまりとした企業ですか？ もし社長さんと直にやり取りなどがあった場合は、「長い間お疲れ様でした」の代わりに、 「今までありがとうございました」 くらいにしてみては如何でしょうか？ 例えば、 Thank you for the guidance and support you have given to us for all those years. I offer you my best wishes for a happy and healthy retirement. 「お過ごし下さい」という場合に、pleaseは何か違和感があります。 お願いや許可しているわけではないので、やはりI wish youやI hope you haveなどの表現が良いかなぁと思います。 ご参考まで＾＾＊

回答ありがとうございます！ 実は、社長とは２度会ったことしかないのです。 秘書の方から「カードを送りたい方は、ぜひどうぞ～」 と営業所に連絡が入り、さて、どんな風にすれば・・・？ と英語がさっぱりの私としては悩んでしまいました。 でも、ＮＯ１さんや、akijakeさんからの回答のお陰で何とかなりそうです。 助かりました！
