以下のとおりお答えします。 ＞(1)consultはthat節を取るのでしょうか？ ＞個人的には、この文章文法間違いではないかと思います。 ⇒that節は名詞節としてconsultの目的語と見なすことが不可能ではありません。全体に自然な表現とは言えないかも知れませんが、特に文法上の間違いはないし、意味も通じると思います。次のとおりです。 ＞When I consulted with my boss that I wanted to buy an analysis software, he didn't agree with my proposal. 直訳：「分析ソフトウェアを購入したいと上司に相談したところ、彼は私の提案に同意しませんでした」。 ＞(2)もし間違いでしたら、正しい文章をお教え頂けないでしょうか。 ⇒訂正というわけではありませんが、次のようにすればいくらか改善されるかも知れません。 (a) 「～を購入したいと上司に相談したところ」 When I consulted my boss to buy ～：「～を購入することを上司に相談したときに」。 When I said to my boss that I would like to buy ～：「～を購入したいと上司に言ったときに」。 When I told my boss to buy ～：「～を購入するよう上司に話したときに」。 (b) 「分析ソフト」 an analysis software：「（分析方法が１つの）分析ソフト」。 analyses/analytics software：「（分析方法が複数の）分析ソフト」。 (c) 「彼は私の提案に同意しませんでした」 he didn't agree with my proposal/suggestion：「彼は私の提案/提言に同意しませんでした」。 he didn't agree with me about/on it：「彼はそれについて/関して私に同意しませんでした」 まとめ（いくらか改善した表現） (a) When I consulted my boss to buy analytics software, he did not agree with my proposal/suggestion. 「私が上司に分析ソフトを買う相談をしたとき、彼は私の提案/提言に同意しなかった」。 (b) When I told my boss to buy analytics software, he did not agree with me about/on it. 「私が上司に分析ソフトを買うよう話したとき、彼はそれについて/関して私に賛成しなかった」。

No. 1の補足 "consult"とは、通常は「専門家に相談する」という文脈で使用する用語なので「上司に相談する」という通常の意味で使用するのは適切ではない。 "software"は不可算名詞なので"a software"と表現することはできない。

"Do you agree with the belief?" の答えとして、 "I couldn't disagree more with that belief." と出ていました。 それ以下の文脈から、 「そんな信念にはとてもじゃないが賛成できないね。」 という意味なんだろうな、とは思うのですが。 "cannot + 動詞 + too much" に近い表現なのでしょうか。 またここでは仮定法過去に帰結節のスタイルになっていますが、 背景にはどのような思い入れがあるのでしょうか？ よろしくお願いします。

I didn't think that it is important for us. という文章を区切って読みたい時、 I didn't think / that it is～. と、読むのですか？ それとも、 I didn't think that / it is～. と読むのですか？ つまり、'that'はどっちに入るのかということです。
