featureについて
お世話になっております。 以下についてお教え頂けないでしょうか。 We occasionally mail out printed catalogs featuring new items or special bargains. (1)この場合どうしてfeaturedでなく featuring なのでしょうか？ (2)後置修飾しているのでingではなくedだと思いますが、、、どのように理解したらよろしいでしょうか？ 平易にお教え頂ければ幸いでござます。

それとも過去分詞で フィーチャーされたカタログ でいいとお考えになったのでしょうか。 関係的に Catalogs feature new items or ... カタログが新商品やお買い得品を特集する。 新商品やお買い得品を特集する（している、した）カタログ とかかります。

NHK実践ビジネス英語2009年5月Lesson 4(4)Cortezさんの台詞で、 People see pictures of a beautiful piece of land online, and they wind up buying it sight unseen. 「人々はオンラインで美しい土地の写真を見ると、現地を見ずに買う羽目に陥ったりするのです。」 とあります。 昔の話を蒸し返すようで申し訳ありません。以前から気になっていた例文です。 いわゆる荒野商法で騙されてそのサイトを見ずに写真だけで購入する被害者の様子を表しています。 余計な疑問は挟まない方がいいかもしれませんが、私が感じた疑問は次のようなものです。 問題はここで使われている “buying it sight unseen”です。itはa beautiful piece of landと思わせられている土地でしょうが、 “sight unseen”は、「現地を見ずに」とテキスト訳がついていますが、どんな構文ですか？ 日本語では「サイト」というと直前にある “site”のイメージがありますが、英語の “sight”は「視界, 視域」ですよね。 “sight unseen”は一種の二重表現（name names）のようなものでしょうか？ Cortez: That kind of fraud is nothing new, of course, but it’s taken on a whole new dimension thanks to the Internet, with its many online auction sites. This movie features Colin Firth. この映画はコリンファースが主役として出ているのか、出演しているがメインとして出演しているかはわからない。どちらの解釈でいいのでしょうか。 同じような例で、 This event features Japanese culture. このイベントは日本文化をメインに取り上げているのか、他の国の文化を取り上げているなかのひとつなのか。 いまひとつfeatureのニュアンスがつかめません。

HPのノートPC(Pavilion 15-ab200 )を購入しました。 HDDのカリカリ音が異様に耳につくので何とかできないものかと検索していました。 で、検索できたのはHDDのガリガリ音を消すことができる「Hitachi Feature Tool」です。 CDからこのToolを起動できたのですが 静音化したいHDDを選択する画面では ＜No drivers found＞と表示されて内臓HDDを選択することができませんでした。 これって、このソフトが古くて私のＰＣ(HDD)には対応していないからなのでしょうか？ また、何らかの解決方法があるのでしょうか？ 宜しくお願いします。
