少し意味の分からない英文があるので、解説お願いいたします。 The bravest that I've ever been was when I ran away from you これは男性に対する女性の発言なんですが、 主語の部分の意味と、 「ran away」が、精神的な意味で「逃げた」のか、 文字通り「逃げた」という意味なのかが分かりません。 この文章を読む限り、私は「女性がＤＶを受けていて、男性の元から逃げ出した」 という風に読みとってしまいましたが、実際はどうでしょうか？ （前後関係を説明すると、「この女性はその男性と別れて、今は別の男性と結ばれている」程度のことが書かれています）

everの使用方法について質問があります。 私は、これまでに英語で何度か会話したことがありますが、everを 使ったことがあるのはお決まりのフレーズである「Have you ever been to ○○?」 の「かつて○○に言ったことありますか？」のみです。 そこで、その他に実際使いそうな表現を探してみました。 (1)かつて、今まで見た中で That was the most astonishing film I've ever seen. (2)否定+everのnever的な用法 Nobody ever drowned in one's own sweat. I can't ever say such a thing right to my girlfriend's face. You can drink coffee here and read magazines without ever buygin them. (3)ever sinceの以来ずっと...だ She hasn't spoken at all, ever since the accident. よく使う頻度としては番号順の(1)->(2)->(3)だと認識しております。 このほかにもeverの使用方法はあると思うのですが、実際にどのようなケース (シチュエーション)で使用できるのかが良く分かりません。 上記の用法以外で実際に使えそうなeverの使用法を どのようなケースでどのような用法で使用するか具体例を上げて 教えてもらえないでしょうか？ ご教授の程宜しくお願い致します。

こんにちは！ HARRY POTTER and the Prisoner of Azkaban[UK版]のp.172真ん中あたりの文に関してです。 "'You can't know that, Potter,' said Professor McGonall, quite kindly, 'not until you've flown it, at any rate, ........' " という文で 質問1”「You can't know」と一度notを使って否定しているのにその後また「not until」とnotを使っているのはなぜでしょうか？意味的には最初の「You can't know」のnotだけで十分な気がします。” 質問2”「not until you've flown it」と現在完了形になっているのはなぜでしょうか？現在形、もしくはwillを使って未来形で表しては駄目なのでしょうか？” 教えてください。 よろしくお願いします。
