「お礼コメント」を拝見しました。 ＞なぜthermostatがそのような意味になるのでしょうか？よろしくお願いします ⇒thermostatは、いろいろな電化製品に組み込まれる「自動調整装置」ですよね。 例えば、暖房器具なら、設定温度に達すると自動的に電源オフにし、下がればまたオンにする装置でしょう。 リハビリでも同じです。例えば、手術のあとは安静も必要ですが、いずれ運動も必要になります。そして、だんだん運動量や時間を増やしていく、というようなことも考えなくてはならないでしょう。そのへんの作業工程をうまく決めてくれる（と期待される）ものがthe best way＝stat（同格）である、というわけです。

My husband and I have been together for 11 years and share four gorgeous children. My husband also has a history of “problems,” though I am proud to say he is celebrating several years of sobriety.
