遅くなってしまいましたが、Pippinさんがおっしゃられているような形に直すと良いですね。 「～に関しては」という部分ですが、"As far as something goes"でもあらわせます。 この場合だったら、"as far as the report goes"複数であれば"as far as the reports go"です。

大変きっちりした場面で使う目的ではないとの事ですが、これはフォーマルとインフォーマルが混ざっているように感じます。"as regards the report"は多分口語、"await"と"thereof"はとてもフォーマルです。 「～に関して」という意味だとしたら、ビジネスでの定型は Regarding the report, As to/for the report, In regards to the report, With regards to the report, だと思います。この出だしに合う言い方は、 As for the report, we have yet to receive from the Institute. くらいでしょうか…。 フォーマルでないのであれば、「同じレポートを待っている」という意味だとして We too are waiting for the same report from the Institute. We are waiting for the same report from the Institute as you are. We also haven't received that report from the Institute yet. 何の話なのかわかっていれば意味が通じない事はないと思いますが…。"as regards the report"の言い方は私は聞いたことがないので「多分口語」と書きましたが、間違えだという感じがあるのは英国に限る事なのかもしれません。

詳しい解説を有難うございました。 As regardsですが口語でしょうか。ビジネスレターで気にせず使っているのですが辞書で調べてみたら文語と出ていますね。グーグルで検索してみると沢山出てきます。全部口語？ ところでthe sameは同じという意味ではありません。そのものを指す場合によく使います。例えばI will forward the report as soon as we receive (the) same from Mr. Green.のように。

この文だけだとよくわからないので、 何を言いたかったのか和文もつけていただけるといいと思います。
補足
この英文の意味が通じるかが知りたかったのであえて和文は書きませんでした。すみませんが意味がわかるか教えて頂けませんか。

あまり自信はないのですが、 persevereさんのオリジナルを最大限活かすとすると、以下のほうが良いのではないでしょうか？ As regards the report, we are also awaiting arrival of the same (one) from the institute. 「受け取ることを待っている」では不自然な気がしますので、「到着を待っている」に変えました。

回答有難うございました。初めて英文に関する質問をしたので状況説明なしでわかりにくかったですね。すみません。これはレポートを受取るのが本人ではなく例えば会社の誰かが受取って、それが自分に回ってくるのを待っているというような状況でした。ですがこの英文の意味は受け取っていただけたようでうれしかったです。実はこの文を読んだ人からAs regards A, の文ではその続きの文中で、Aは主語や目的語にはこない、と言われて疑問に思ったので質問させて頂きました。
