＃１です。補足です。 >>上記のto+動詞の意味の違いとは、「to be achieved」は、 形容詞的用法？、「to help the nation・・・」は副詞的用法なんですかね？ おっしゃる通りです。

英語の課題で、一日の行動を英語で書けという宿題が出ました。 日本語訳と併せて掲載しますので、英文法の間違った使い方や他にうまい表現があった場合指摘してくださるとありがたいです。よろしくお願いします。 Yesterday was a day as usual. I got up 6 o'clock. Then I quickly finished breakfast,went to school immediately. I need to take the train to go to school an hour and more. I arrived to school, bought a juice and drank.After eating lunch I was playing soccer with friends.4hours after taking the class, take the train and went home. I take a dinner in the early hours because I have a test tomorrow. All employees will receive an annual increment on April 1, subject to the employee having been confirmed in his appointment at that date. 「全従業員は、4月1日に毎年昇給を受ける。但し、その時点で任務において確認されているものとする」という訳では変ですよね。。。 「その時点で、任務についているものとする」という意味になるのでしょうか？ confirmed in one's appointmentの意味を教えてください。 どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

お世話になります。質問は全部で４つです。以下にたずねたい英文と、私が行った和訳を書きます。 わかりやすく説明していただけると助かります。 １．infants' visual acuity is close to that of adult. 「幼児の視力は大人のように閉じる。」 質問：close to that of adultの部分が上手く訳せません。 thatが前置詞で挟まれていて、訳し方がわからず適当に訳しました。 どういった文法構造で、どのように解釈すればよかったのでしょうか。 ２．newborn infants can also detect the difference between very similar sounds, such as two tones that are only one note apart on the musical scale. 「新生児の赤ん坊はまた、非常に似通った音の違いを見つける事が出来る。例えば音階上の離れた唯一の１つの音符という２つの音色で。」 質問：such as two tones that are only one noteが上手く訳せません。 このthatは主格の関係代名詞のthatと判断し、先行詞はtwo tonesだと考えましたが、 訳すと「唯一の１つの音符という２つの音色」という、わけのわからない事になってしまいます。 どういった文法規則で、どのように解釈すればいいですか？ ３．the baby opens its mouth with the corners turnd down and sticks out its tongue in what appears to be an expression of disgust. 「赤ん坊は歯で拒んだ状態で自分の舌を出し、そして嫌悪の気持ちを示すために、舌を突き出す。」 質問：前置詞＋whatの訳し方がわかりません。どういう訳し方をすればいいですか？ 一応、それなりの訳になりましたが、in what～のくだりは、ニュアンスで訳しました。

簡単な英文を書きました。英語の得意な方、文法をチェックして下さい。 I have some classmate. 私にはクラスメートが何人かいる One of those、 そのうちの一人が sometimes he talks as if he were an expert. 時々、専門家であるように話す I don't like his behavior. 彼の振る舞いがきらいだ If he was an expert,he doesn't have to go to school もし、彼が専門家なら学校にくる必要はない so I don't know what he is thinking. なので彼の考えが分からない There is the school so that a person understanding nothing studies 学校は何も知らない人が勉強するためにあるのだ。 宜しくお願いします。
