英語翻訳

「But up till now, I have always had to act as an interpreter for my children!」という英文を翻訳したいと思っています。 しかし、私は英語が全くの無知なのでどう訳していけばいいのかさっぱり分かりません。 この英文にどんな文法、熟語などが使われているかできるだけ詳しく教えてもらえると助かります。 よろしくお願いします。

「[(1)But up till now], I have always [(2)had to] [(3)act as an interpreter] for my children!」 But up till now は、シチュエーションがわからないので、なんとも言えないんですが、多分、「だから」（理由をあらわす）の butを使っているのではないかと思います。そして、up tillは up untilと同じで、untilを強めた意味なので、あんまり日本語訳には反映されないと思います。 untilは、「～まで」の意味なので、up till nowは、「いままで」ですね。（(1)） I have always had to act as an interpreter for my children!の文は、「～してきた」という意味の、現在完了の継続の用法だと思います。そのため、「～しなくてはならない」という意味のhave toが過去分詞になってhad toという形になっています。（(2)） act asは「～の役目をする」。ここでは、子供の（for my children）interpreter（通訳、解釈者）の役割をするということなので（(3)）、今までの情報を整理して日本語に直すと、 「だから、今までいっつもウチの子の通訳してあげなきゃいけなかったのよ。」みたいな感じでしょうか？ お子さんがまだ幼くて何を言ってるのかわからないから、言いたいことを汲み取ってあげなきゃいけないという状況なのかなあと勝手に想像しました。それとも、もっと別な事情があるのかな？ 状況がわかったら、もっとまともな訳ができると思うので、教えていただけたら、幸いです。 （↑皆さん突込みどころ満載だと思いますので、どんどん突っ込んでください。） 参考にしていただけたでしょうか？

upは完了を表す副詞でしょうか。 I以下は現在完了形？ had toの原形はhave to。 act as an interpreterは通訳者として振舞う。 for my childrenは私の子供(複数)の為に。 「I have」「always」「had to」「act as」「an interpreter」「for my children」「!」 「私は(現在完了形)」「恒に」「しなければならなかった」「として振舞う」「通訳者」「私の子供(複数)の為に」「！」 till nowは、今まで。 upは完了を表す副詞と思われるので、but upは、(今まで○○してきた)が、もう(○○し)ない。
