準動詞の文についての質問です
He is quite well and can go out again now. は He is so well as to go out again now. に書き換え可能でしょうか？

日本の英語教育の弊害です。文が二つあれば。その二つの文の意味は違っています。戦前は英語が敵国の言葉として禁止されていました。敗戦後、英語教育を復活させたのですが、英語を数学の計算ドリルと同じ扱いで勉強させたため。二つの文(式)をイコールて゜結ぶのが大流行しました。その誤りに気付いていない教員があまりにも多いのです。 He is quite well and can go out again now. 彼はとても元気です。だからまた外出することができます。 「彼は元気」という現在の様子の次に、「外出可能」という結論が述べられています。 He is so well as to go out again now. 彼はそれほど元気です。(どれほどかと言えば、)また外出できる(ほどです)。 「ある程度は元気になりました。」しかしある程度がどのくらいの程度なのかを説明するために、「外出できる」程度と言っているのです。説明のための語句ですので、彼に外出の予定や希望があるとは限りません。ただの説明です。 この二文をイコールで結ぶ勉強法は誤りたど思います。

回答ありがとうございます。 この問題はto不定詞を使って書き換えなさいと言う問題で このように書き換えたんですが、それだもダメでしょうか？ ちなみに回答はenough to を使って He is well enough to go out again nowとあったんですが こちらのほうが良いんでしょうか？

意味的に大体同じですが、soがas toと関連するのに対して、is quite wellとcan go outは単なる併置です。 彼は今では全く元気で、また外出できる（ようになった）よ。

全く問題ありません。 備考：well には他の意味もあるので、それだけで健康であるという意味で用いるのは割とめずらしい使い方です。He is so well-conditioned とか He is so healthy とか He has recovered とか言う方がまぎれがないように思います。

英訳が正しいか、チェックをお願いします 2件あります。 ＊there is no way I can go alone Newyork as well as Kentucky. 「ケンタッキーと同様に、ニューヨークに一人で行くなんてとても出来っこないよ」 とゆう意味なんですが、ニュアンスとしては、 ケンタッキーならば一人で行ける (実際にはまだ行ったことはないが) でもニュウーヨークはとても無理だとゆう雰囲気です。 「as well as 」 があるので、「alone」の位置も迷いました。 ＊I can go to school tomorrow and Ican see my friends. この文章を、 I can go to school tomorrow and see my friends too. にすることは出来ますか。
