という文の前提が、when the warnings of companies are disregarded by capable adults, the adults are fully responsible for any resulting accidentsなのですが、
別にこれは前提である必要ないのではないでしょうか?not large enough to prevent...とあるように、文字が小さかったために起きたことかもしれなく、その場合はやはりdriverに責任がすべてあるとは言えなさそうですが...
