＞＞importantの後ろになぜtoが来なくていいのでしょうか？ it's important you understand～は it's important （that）you understand～であります。itはthat節を指してるんですね。もしtoをいれると「あなたにとって重要」となりますがこのままではunderstandの主語がなくなってしまい文ではないので、もう一度youをいれます。（youの重複を避けてthatを入れる。） it's important to you that you understand~(あなたにとって～を理解することは重要だ) 個人的にはこれは言わないと思います。youにとって重要なのは明らかでしょ。だから本文の英文になるのでしょう。「あなたにとって～、あなたが～」を言いたいのならばしたいのならば普通は、不定詞を使って it's important for you to understand~. にしますね。

英語日記11 なぜ勉強するのか すいませんが最近英語力のライティングをあげようと英作文をまいにち書くようにしてます。 レベルのひくい英作文ではずかしいのですが。できれば文法や細かい間違いを指摘して頂けると幸いです。 Why people study? What do you answer if you are asked why do you study? To get a good job? To earn many money? Maybe many young students answer YES. It is said that there are many smart people in Japan. I also think so. However, do you think that if a number of smart people increase, which give a chance to develop in Japan? The answer is NO. I think that talent is much more important than studying. Of course, studying is important thing, but looking for your own talent is more important.

It is important for you to stop smoking.と It is important that you (should) stop smoking. の違いをおしえてください。 以前、受験関係の本で「for you の部分をとっても意味がおかしくない場合は、to不定詞を、おかしくなるようならthat節を使いなさい。 」と読んだ覚えがあるのですが、「おかしい」「おかしくない」の判断がよくつきません。 どなたかご存知の方、ぜひ教えてください。
