That was arranging horseback riding lessons . I figured if this person had horses , then chances are I could probably arrange some lesson. I had another reason for wanting to talk to a psychologist . That being I wanted to tell her all about Philip and ask her professional opinion . Everything I had been through with Philip was so confusing . 文の一節で、二箇所抜き出しました。chances～のところの文法的な意味がわかりません。that being, been through with の訳がわかりません。宜しくお願いします。

all the wayの意味として「ずっと～/はるばる～」などがあると聞きました．これを否定するとどうなるのでしょうか？例えば I walked all the way to the park. 「私はその公園までずっと歩いていった．」 I didn't run all the way to the park. (1)「私はその公園までずっと走らなかった．」 (2)「私はその公園までずっと走ったわけではない．」 また，allだけではなく部分否定になるのは，どのような場合なのでしょうか？イメージでは「すべて・完全に・とても」のようなときに部分否定になる気がします．

honeyracoonさん、回答ありがとうございます。 今日のテストの準備で返事が遅くなり、すみませんでした。 all the wayの意味が変わりますね。 do bestを言いたいために、ということですね。 納得できます。 下にも書かせてもらいましたが、途中、という言葉に違和感を感じるんです。 はじめから終わりまで、当為感じで出ていないように思ってしまいます。 Ms.は結婚している、と判断していいのでしょうか。 判断してはいけない、と習ったのですが。 secretlyにはいろいろな意味が出てくる、ということでしょうね。 workingですが、これは、やはり、働く、という意味ではないんですね。 ーとして働く、という意味と（私自身、そう教わらなかったので）、－を目指して勉強する、それとも、働きながら勉強する、という意味にもなるのかな、って今感じてしまいました。 私がこのことを知らなかったら、－として働く、と信じてしまうようで、怖くなってしまってしまいました。 聞くのが恥ずかしくて仕方なかったのですが、ここの人たちに聞いてみます。（今アメリカに留学しています） ありがとうございました。
