入学式の言い方

＞the と a の違いもいつも気になるところですが、 ＞この場合、a を使うとまた意味が違ってくるんでしょうね。 実は先の書き込みをするにあたって気になっていました。 1. The entrance ceremony will be held at school next week. はいきなり The entrance ceremony で始まっており、 個人的には、小説の書き出しのような印象を受けます。 はじめてふる話題であれば、An entrance ceremony ～のほうが無難でしょう。 しかし、An entrance ceremony ～というのは、頭でっかちですので、 4のように倒置を用いて、 There is(will be）an entrance ceremony held at school next week. （これは非分かもしれませんが) としたほうが収まりよさそうです。 1を the から始めるなら倒置（この場合 there 構文のことではありません。） は不要だと思います。 冠詞を a とするか the とするかは聞き手（読み手）に合わせます。 相手に何のことかわかるかどうかで選択します。 初めて振る話題は a が無難ですが、 入学式は the を用いるという慣用があるなら、 もちろんそれに従うほうがいいです。 主語を何にするかはあくまで前後の文脈しだいです。 この質問からは、主語すら決定しかねます。 ご自身の予定であれば、 I go to ～ から初めて、話を展開（在学生かどうかもふくめて）してもいいですし。

ある参考書で「来週、我校の学園祭が行われます。」の英訳として Our school festival is being held next week. が示され、「あらかじめ決まっている計画や予定は will do ではなく、現在進行形や be going to で表すのが原則」とありました。 しかし、同じ参考書の例文で「来週は2回その映画を見ます。」は I will see the movies twice next week. と英訳されています。 私には、2文目の文章も「あらかじめ決まっている予定」に思え、なぜ「現在進行形や be going to」で表さないのかがわかりません。 基本的なことかもしれませんが、どなたかこの理由を教えていただけませんでしょうか。 よろしくお願いいたします。

プログレス２１ Ｂｏｏｋ２ １６ページに Ｗe stopped an hour for lunch,but we will be there before it gets dark.. という文がありました。 「１時間止まる」は「stop for an hour 」ではないのでしょうか？ このダイアローグの下の例文は 「We will stop for an hour at lunch time.」 「We will stop for an hour when it is time for lunch.」 となっています。

「キャンパスの桜は入学式のころには満開でしょう」の英訳で The cherry blossoms on campus will be in full bloom about the time (when) your entrance ceremony is held. とあるのですが、これを2つにわけるとどういう文になるでしょうか? おそらく「キャンパスの桜は満開になるでしょう」と「入学式のころ桜は満開です」になると思うのですが。。。 前者はそのままThe cherry blossoms on campus will be in full bloom.だと思うのですが、後者はどういう文になるのでしょう? それとここはheld(保持する)でないといけないのでしょうか?「状態を維持する」ような感じにはどうしても思えないのですが
