ビジネス英語のテキストの文章の一部がわかりません。
IBMの歴史についての文章です。（URLは http://fds.oup.com/www.oup.com/pdf/elt/products/bo-teachertools_listening_scripts.pdf です） まず3行目の"There were IBM anthems, IBM songbooks, IBM regulation clothes."で、regulation clothesとはなんのことでしょうか。会社のユニフォームのようなものですか。 それから、最後のパラグラフ後半で"Watson thought that manager should be an assistant to his men"と言っていますが、 「管理者とは部下のアシスタントたるべきである」と訳してよいですか。もしそうなら、その後の "You're promoted to Assistant Manager. Be careful wipeople, don't swear,and wear a white shirt."はどのように訳したらよいでしょうか。「君はアシスタントマネージャに昇格したのだから人に注意し、人をそしるようなことは言わず、ちゃんとした服装をしなさい。」でよいでしょうか。 でも、なんで "manager "ではなく"Assistant Maneger"なのですか。また、なぜinitializeしてあるのですか。 教えてください。 よろしくお願いします。

（１）そうです。ユニフォーム、あるいは制服。 （２）「部下」もいいですが his men には「彼の側近」という気配がしますね。部下より彼に近い、 （３） "don't swear"は神を冒涜するような言葉 damn とか hell とか言うな、ということですが「言葉遣いに気を付けろ」ということでしょう。むかし流行った色物のシャツではなく、「白い」という意味かも知れません。 （４）マネジャーの下だから、アシスタントマネジャー。 （５）アシスタントマネジャーが大文字になっているのは、単に何処にでもある一般的な普通名詞ではなく、この会社内で決まっている「肩書き」だからでしょう。 ということは Watson > his men > manager > assistant manager という階級制度が社内でまもられていた、ということでしょう。

he was promoted to assistant manager通常受動態になれるのは他動詞ですよね？ この例文のように、そのあとにtoがくるのって何ででしょうか？他動詞の後ろには前置詞はこないですよね？
