間接話法
I said that my mom wants a kid.この英文を雑誌で見たんですが正しくはwantedだけどアメリカ人はそんなに時制は気にしないって事なんでしょうか？？ またI asked her ''what are you doing here？もあったのですがaskでも直接話法の疑問形にしても問題はないんですか？？ 教えて下さい(T_T)

小説とか、過去を振り返るのでなく、今この文を表している現在から見て、「言った」のは過去、母親が子供がほしいという状態は、表している今から見て現在時制。 現在時制が表す現在の習慣とか状態というのは、昨日明日という過去、未来にまたがったもの。 引用符つきの直接話法は、say に限りません。 ask でも用いられます。 実際には引用符の前にコンマで区切り、引用符の中は大文字で始めます。 テストなどでは if を用いて間接話法にした方がいいです。

- 対面で会話するときの直接・間接話法の使い分けがわかりません
中学校などで一応直接間接話法は習いましたが、あくまでも文章であらわすときだけでした。実際に、対面で人と話すときにどうなるのかがわかりません。 例；文章の場合 I said to her "You are tired.". I said to her that she was tired. 代名詞と時制に変化が現れますよね。文章の場合はどちらもありですよね。 さて、これがスピーチなどで「私は、彼女に、彼女が疲れていると言ったんです。」というような設定で話すとき、上記の話し方は両方ともＯＫなのでしょうか？ 例；実際の対面の会話の中で Ａ．I said to her "You are tired.". Ｂ．I said to her that she was tired. Ａ場合、文章に書けば、""があるので、「You」と「her」が同一人物であることがよくわかるのですが、でも、対面会話の場合は「to her」が無いと、目の前にいる人がtiredという意味になってしまいますよね？ まとめると、 実際の対面の会話の中で、Ａのような使い方はＯＫなのでしょうか？ ややこしいですが、最後まで読んでいただいてありがとうございます。 教えてくだされば感謝いたします。

回答ありがとうごさいますo(^-^)o 補足質問ですが このI said～の文を書いている時は既に子どもがいたらしくて言った時はいなかったらしいんですがそれでもwantsとするんですか？
